Our parking lot is CLOSED Monday, January 12, 2026 due to plumbing repairs. Trucks and heavy equipment are currently blocking all driveway access .We are hopeful that this will be the final day our parking lot will be inaccessible, and apologize for any inconvenience.

Elk Rock Garden is open 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on major holidays including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
RESTROOMS
There are no public restrooms.
GARDEN RULES
No dogs, picnics or lawn games are allowed. Children may run on the lawns but not on the paths. Please be mindful of your little ones.
ACCESS
The garden be be accessed via a public single-lane neighborhood road. Please respect the speed limit. The garden features brick and gravel walking paths, but has no paved paths.
PARKING
Onsite parking is free but limited. Please note, Elk Rock Garden is not responsible for your vehicle nor its contents.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY Elk Rock Garden is a privately-owned nonprofit garden. Visitors to the garden are welcome to take selfies and photos of the garden for their own personal use. (If you post them on social media, please consider tagging us at #elkrockgarden.)
Commercial photography is NOT permitted during regular business hours. Commercial photography includes, but is not limited to:
- Professional proposal, engagement or wedding photo shoots
- Formal portrait sessions (professional senior photos; individual and family portraits)
- Fashion and editorial shoots
- Professional branding and marketing photography
- Photography intended for sale or publication
Like other gardens in the area, we offer limited availability for photoshoots, after hours and on Saturdays — with advance notice — for a fee of $250 per hour with a minimum of two hours on Saturdays. INTERSTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Elk Rock Garden is looking for volunteers to assist our gardener with raking, weeding, removal of invasive plants, and other garden maintenance tasks. We also welcome volunteers for help with administrative tasks, fundraising and special events.
